Bocci Debauchery

This will be my first post and I have to admit, I'm excited. A self confessed extrovert, it's great to be able to share my experiences in the city I love with anyone interested to read about my fast times in Vancouver. You know, Vancouver gets a lot of smack talk. No fun city, that's what it's called. Well, I think it's time that stereotype changed. So, I'm here to show you just how good this city can be. Case in point - Vancouver has a fantastic design scene, and on Thursday night my good friend Mark James helped showcase the beautiful work of Omer Arbel (www.bocci.ca) at a penthouse in downtown Vancouver. Not just a penthouse, but THE penthouse of Vancouver. Rumours abound about past owners of this incredible all glass 7000 square foot space (it's said that John Travolta was a past inhabitant). Although the space itself was pretty 'industrial' (think rebar and construction tape) the crowd more than made up for it. I have never seen so much fur, including a full length mink worn by a man who shall remain nameless, only because we are all still guessing who he was. Music came from a DJ playing in the rafters and revelers enjoyed Bombay martinis and one giant wheel of cheese. My good friend, artist Erin Evans, and I are pictured above.
