Well, it's 2007 and that means restaurants are about the experience the most depressing season of the year. Who wants to eat out when you've got the battle of the bulge to contend with? All of Vancouver, that's who. Yes, brace yourselves for Dine Out, a three week celebration of all that restaurants have to give for between $15 and $35 for three courses. Monday saw the kick off party, attended by pr gals (pictured) restauranteurs, wine reps, and media. If you're gunning for a cheap meal at any top restaurant in the city, you might want to pick up a bottle of VQA wine to ease your pain. Last year at Lumiere we dealt with 200 emails a day, not to mention the phone calls and attempted walk ins. Maybe that's why they're not participating this year?
